Installation „Money river“ was proposed for Lithuanian bank competition, organised to elect an installation which should decorate the floor of  „Money museum“.

River – alive, flowing stream with its own fauna and flora. In this installation notion „life“ is changed to the notion „materiality“. Installation is created from a metal cables, mirrors and light-emitting diodes.

Money promise us happiness. We force money to show us what we want to see: respectively here money swing on metal cables or, scattered at the bottom, reflect the environment and their  observer.

The vibration caused by visitors` steps at the museum or the street noise force metal „vegetation“ to swing, creating the live view of the river.

Money is the „heart“ of the organisation and the heart carries blood through pulsing bood vessels. In this installation the impression of such vessels is created by light-emitting diodes, resurrecting metal to life.
